Mallaury Scala is a dancer, performer, and photographer based in Brussels, where she graduated from the Institut Supérieur des Arts et des Chorégraphies. Driven by a desire to reclaim her emotions, she places the notion of faciality at the core of her choreographic scores and designs performative frameworks that foster permeability between her body and the audience, exploring the potential of the grotesque.

Since 2023, she has been collaborating as a performer with Darius Dolatyari-Dolatdoust on several pieces, including I BECOME THEM (Fondation Serralves, Porto), Flags Parade (Monnaie de Paris), and DRESSING (Casino de Knokke). The latter will be performed as part of Actoral, with a third residency scheduled at 3 bis F in March 2025.

Since December 2024, they have also been developing a duo performance, To The Thief, which premiered in January at Beursschouwburg and the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles.

In early 2024, she co-founded the contemporary company P.O.L.E. alongside Darius Dolatyari-Dolatdoust, Mathilde Bassetti, and Marcos Nacar, with residencies planned at Montévidéo in January 2025 and Point Éphémère in April.

In July 2022, she worked as a dramaturgical assistant and photographer on the dance film Ekkríno, directed by choreographer and visual artist Grégoire Schaller.

Her photographic work was exhibited at The Others Art Fair in Turin in November 2023, followed by an exhibition at Oksasenkatu 11 in Helsinki in February 2024, curated by Julia Fidder.

Alongside her stage projects, she leads dance workshops at CIVA, Charleroi Danse, Atelier 210, and La Cambre. She is also currently in her second year of Shiatsu training at the O-ki school.
